PickTint is built so that your images stay on your device. This page explains exactly what that means.

Images are processed locally
When you choose, drop or paste an image, your browser decodes it and reads its pixels locally. PickTint has no upload endpoint, so the image, the palette and your edits never leave your device.
How data and storage are handled
The color picker uses no user accounts and no advertising. Image decoding, color sampling, and palette edits run entirely inside your browser. Closing or reloading the tab discards the image and unsaved edits.
Optional analytics and cookies
PickTint offers optional Google Analytics 4 to measure overall page visits under regional privacy policies: in regions requiring prior consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and conservative jurisdictions) or where visitor region is unknown, measurement only activates if you explicitly click Allow in the footer settings. In other recognized regions, measurement is enabled by default with opt-out available at any time via the footer settings (remains off if storage is blocked). If you decline, opt out, or if your browser has Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT) turned on, Google analytics remains inactive. Opting out or revoking consent never limits tool functionality.
When enabled, Google Analytics uses pseudonymous cookies (such as _ga, expiring in up to 180 days) and records your consent choice in localStorage for up to 180 days (or temporary memory if storage is disabled). Google receives standard connection metadata (including IP address, browser type, device information, referring domain, and clean page URLs without image or palette data). We do not claim complete anonymity, but advertising features, Google Signals, and ad personalization are disabled, and no cross-site identification occurs. Data may be processed on servers outside your country by Google and its affiliates. Review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and partner site data usage at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. User and event data retention in Google Analytics is limited to 2 months with reset on new activity disabled; aggregate reports may remain longer. You can opt out or withdraw consent at any time via the footer settings, which stops collection and clears Google analytics cookies immediately.
How the page is delivered
Like any website, the server and network that deliver this page process ordinary connection information — such as the IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and TLS details — to answer the request and keep the service reliable. By default, this site counts page views on its own server without cookies; it does not embed third-party fonts or advertising.
First-party page counting
PickTint counts page views on its own server to know which pages are useful. This first-party count uses no cookies, no third-party analytics, and no client-side tracking scripts.
The server does not store IP addresses or full browser identifiers. A visitor is only counted through an irreversible hash that includes a random salt changed every day, so visits cannot be linked across days. Raw records are deleted after 14 days; only daily totals are kept longer.
Your exports
The PNG palette card and the CSS variable file are generated in your browser and saved by your browser's own download feature. PickTint does not keep a copy.
